Dear Students for the 2011-2012 School Year,

By now I am sure that you getting excited about your upcoming adventure in Canada.  We look forward to welcoming you to our country, province, city and schools.  Here are some important details:

1.0 Please find enclosed the following documents:

-Orientation Guide    * Very Important!
-homestay guide book in your language
(please read it before you leave together with your parents and  bring this with you)
-homestay family profile (sent in an earlier e mail)
-Guide to Winter  in Canada

2.0 Please be sure to bring the following information with you:

-passport
-study visa
-travel visa (if required)
-letter of acceptance
-medication that you may require on a regular basis
-copies of immunization records
-summer and winter clothes
-pictures and souvenirs of your home country to share with others
-credit card and bank card

3.0 Please remember tuition, homestay and insurance fees must be paid prior to your arrival.

Payment Method #1 - Preferred Method

Text books, supplies, locker, and bus pass
Remember you will need extra money for the start up of school to pay for courses supplies, textbooks, locker, and bus pass ( about $200) for high school students.  (books can returned for a refund at the end of the semester).  Most international students will be required to take a Math class.  Students are required to have a graphing calculator.  Please bring one with you or be prepared to buy one when you arrive. The schools use Texas Instruments TI 83+ calculators.

Extra costs for homestay
In addition, you will need to pay $25 per night  for homestay in August or January if you have not paid for these nights already.  The amount you will owe will depend on the day your arrive.

We will be having a meeting of all international students for one day of orientation . Please bring all of your documents to this meeting.

Individual appointments for course selection continue.
Please note the schools will be closed at12:00 for school district meetings.

5.1  Semester 2 Orientation  Monday January 30, 2012

For students arriving in Semester Two registration and orientation will take place at your assigned school on Monday January 30 at 8: 30.
Please report to the counselling office of your school.
Your orientation package will be at the school or with your host family

-International Students should arrive in Canada on the weekend of August 27 and 28, 2011.  
Airport pickup is available on this weekend.

-Students arriving outside these dates may be subject to an additional charge to a maximum of $165.00 for airport pickup.

-All students must depart the program by June 30  at very latest as the school district is closed for the summer break. ~The homestay program also ends June 30.

-       Tuition payments are due by June 15, 2011.
